Brensley and Indira are church leaders that are creating a social enterprise ( Income generation bussiness) which will :
1 - Provide income to pay for dialysis for Indira and make the congregational work done in Karbi Anglong Assam possible.
2 - Uplift and promote education for the mentioned community .
We aim to start with thirty goats (28 she-goats and 2 he-goats) and employ one young married man with an objective to set him as an example to his own children and to others to the advantages of earning which focus on education.
We plan to sell mutton as it is the most consumed source of meat and is highly in demand. Goats (when mature) will be sold to local meat seller in the local market.
Goat rearing by localsare on small scale, which does not reach the demand. Goat meat is expensive compared to other sources of meat/protein .
The projection is that within 2 years we will be able to have both a sustainable bussiness and from this bussiness provide offspring and knowledge to pro-actively helpothers to do the same .
So as of now the funding required is the total start-up expenditure which is around US$ 4300.
